Finally, I decided that things would have to stay as they are for then--cause after all--it was then, then.
I'd love to have anyone comment on that day, if you have any memories of it--yea or nay. I just remember that we went to the studio and all tumbled out of the van onto the sidewalk. It seems like it was dark--in the evening?
Julyn looks about 5 months old--not able to sit up totally on her own--so that would have made it around Christmas, 1985.

By the way, I looked up "motley" in the dictionary. It means, 1)"varigated colors; 2) composed of diverse often incongruous elements. I thought that was pretty applicable to our "Hey-You-Guys" Bunch!

Ah, but Mom, Angelyn's half-grin & Spencer's screaming red cheeks are one of my favorite things about this photo! And let me count again...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Yep we are all there. Look at those sweet sweet curls on Elly! And John - isn't this about the age that Carolyn and I hog tied you and put you in that blue dress she is wearing then slathered you with lipstick and stuck you on the front porch for all your friends to see? You know we only did it because we love you so very much. :)
I seriously don't know how you did it, ma. The WHY I understand, its just the logistics of it all that I can't wrap my head around.
I don't remember much about that day other than always feeling like an oaf around Carolyn.
I love love love this photo!! A 4x5 was lovingly stuck in my mission scriptures the whole time while I was in Arizona. People would ask me about my family, this gave me the opportunity to pull it out and share with them how much I love each one of my siblings! You guys are such a great strength to me!!!
